The
song that I chose for today is “時間的味道” by Terry Lin. This song came
out in 2002. The direct translation of the title is “The flavour of time”.
The
lyrics of the song are about thinking of our past. It begins with the
protagonist telling us that one day the world seems to be frozen and it had
gone back to the time when he first got his baseball glove, his first
girlfriend’s cat and the time when he still looking for treasures in a local grocery
store. Back then he always look forwards to becoming an adult. Now he
understood the freedom of his childhood, but now he got no way of going back in
time. Memories are the movie ticket of life. Love, is the exclamation mark in
our heart. Age is the letter opener of the truth, and time got it flavour as
well. Going back to his primary school, kids are happily running on the
basketball court. He found the marbles and his school bag, but he can’t find
the tunnel that brings him back to his childhood. Hope you will enjoy the song.
