The
song for today is “Electric Girl” by Norman Cheung (張立基).This
song was released in the year 1990. This song was quite popular back then and
it is Norman’s iconic song. It is the Cantonese cover version of a Japanese
song “天網恢々” (According to the YouTube link that I found,
translated to “Heaven's Vengeance”) by 陣内大蔵.
The
lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that he bump into her
on a stormy day. He loves the way that her attractiveness was shooting out.
They were connected and they are pulling the saw. Jumped onto her and she is
like a lighting speeded car. He was drawn in when she wasn’t doing anything
specific. Kissed him until he is out of energy. After that night, he was like begging
her to pity him, searching again for another to sacrifice for producing electricity.
Ah, so hot that it is like the sky is burning. Ah, the electric power is like a
never dying battery. Ah, if you are careless. Ah, Is like I hate to be late
today. Saw you, she pretended to not care. Attracted you, she slowly shoot love
at you. When she got sick of you, she dump you. Jumped onto her is like riding
a lighting speed car. Bump into her again on stormy night again, he saw her full
of energy ready to shoot again. He received the electricity and felt as if a
waterfall all rushing down onto him, searching again for another to sacrifice
for producing electricity. I have also linked to the original Japanese version
below, hope you will enjoy the songs.
