1st Sep 2014 (富士山下 – Eason Chan)

The song for today is “富士山下” by Eason Chan. This is one of my favourite songs. What I love about this song is that it really paints a picture in my head as Eason sing. The direct English translation of the title is “Under Mt. Fuji”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said “The rain that blocks my way is like snow. You are crying, you feel cold? I had rubbed the windbreaker that you gave me to a point that it started to ware. I am not worry about changing job position, but I always still care about you, so I have chosen today to drive you home. Please forgive me not to send flower, as I believe your wound needed to stop bleeding. It is the worse when the cemetery in your heart is covered with petals. If you will only marry me but no one else, one day both of our corpses will burn. It costs to spent your whole life to just wait for a day. Everyone only got a pair of hands, and it is hard to have somebody just by hugging. To have someone, you first need to learn to accept lost. I had once followed the snowy road, and cried for good things, but no one could privatively own Mt. Fuji just by love. Why not just treat the sad feeling as your own imagination. Can’t find the contaminated eyes in the test tube. If the future is harden likes rocks, then just drop it and run. I am not special, just walk around the street once and I will disappeared. Don’t expose this on Valentine’s Day, as I am only dare to touch your hair. But would this action make you feel sadder? Staying in the car to stay warm, thinking how to tell talks you out of it, but how could you manage to have the courage to cut your hand? How many years would we call our life is short? But breaking up is even shorter. Who could calculate how many miles it takes to get home? Forget about our past, as the cherry trees had blossom a few times already and that Tokyo trip was already felt like it was ages ago. If you still think that it is not enough, I could give you this windbreaker, to help you to break your curse.” Hope you will like the song.
