The song that I chose for today is “約定” by Faye Wong. This song is rather old, but it is one of my favourite of Faye’s.  The direct English translation of the title is “Promise”.

This song is about love. The lyrics start off by describing the protagonist thought about the time when she was traveling and meet this guy in front of her hostel. She didn’t remember much about the rest of her trip, but she remembers that they promise each other that they will come back and enjoy the scenery together. Time had passes by, but they still haven’t seen each other. Though the protagonist said to herself that she will never forget about this promise, even when they get old, she would still be able to recognise him. Hope you will enjoy the song.
