The song for today is “私隱線” by Kay Tse. This song was very popular back in the year when it was released. The direct English translation of the title is “Privacy line”.

The lyrics of the song are about the protagonist felt that she is over floated by private information that she had no interest in. It said, Passenger in the train, are sitting opposite to each other. Some of them are sleeping, some tried to find some way to get themselves entertained. But always there are a group that talks on the phone. Three to four of them, sited around, using their phone to talk to their best friend, ignoring everyone to talk loudly. How the share market fluctuated; how annoying are the relatives; the story of how Tim Fuk Cheung and Siu Bing Chu got together. A lot of information, and couldn’t not listen to it even she doesn’t want to. A anger fire is about to lit in her heart. How much money does his uncle got; his cousin is studying commerce. In this crowed cabin, privacy is being spread. No need to explain so much as she doesn’t want to know, she just wanted to listen to her music. She is now staring at him, but he ignores her as if he is in a twenty thousand square feet empty room, comfortable and happily talking. Even world issues doesn’t need to be spread here, so these tiny issues that doesn’t got to do with anything should only be talk about at home, could he? How low class he was born as, how much he wanted a kid, how Tim Fuk Cheung and Siu Bing Chu broke up. A lot of information, and couldn’t not listen to it even she doesn’t want to. The conferences call in the cabin, even if it was so dramatic, could they move away a bit to give her some room? No need to explain so much as she doesn’t want to know, she just wanted to listen to her music. Hope you will like the song.

The song for today is “C'est La Vie” by Vivian Chow. This is one of Vivian’s classic songs. The title is in French, meaning “That’s life”.

The lyrics of the song are about letting go. It said, c'est la vie, love have to be at the right timing. When fate disappeared, it is better to just let it go. C'est la vie, you should stop crying for your misfortune. If you can let it go, you would be free like wind. The dark sun glasses, it is not enough to cover your tiredness. The grey eye sight is like a pin, pinned to the shadow of your heart. Hmm, previously it was unlimited love, now it becomes a splinter in the heart. How, to open your heart, so that you wouldn’t feel sad for the rest of your life? The memories of past love, now couldn’t remember too much. The letters now is just like rubbish, it no longer feel poetry. Previously unlimited love, believing that there is only a love per life time. How to make you feel better, to install the happy beat. The song for today is “若” by AGA. Since I talked about AGA yesterday, I think I should also talk about her newest song that she wrote for her sister who passed away due to cancer. The direct English translation of the title is “If”.

The lyrics of the song are about AGA’s feeling toward her sister I think. It said, if, if the things that you wanted to say couldn’t say it out loud, I would lean toward you and listen to your heart beat. I will always annoy you. If, if you sigh about not enough time to watch, then I will make sharing my time as the most important thing. We will talk and smile. Even if you really scare to cry in front of me, please remember that you watched me grew up, so why worry that you will drag me down? Life is like flowing water, please lay down truthfully. Even when you wanted to rest and forget about the things that you worried, please believe that if you work hard to carry on each day, you will have no energy to worry. Think too much will get you worry. If, if you are worry that you will not see the future, at least you and I still talks about our feelings, still can cry, still can love. Even if you really scare to cry in front of me, please remember that you watched me grew up, so why worry that you will drag me down? Who could you questions about life, just face it truthfully. Even when you wanted to rest and forget about the things that you worried, please believe that if you work hard to carry on each day, you will have no energy to worry. The song that I chose for today is “一” by AGA. This song also got a duet version call “一加一”, which is sing by AGA and Gin Lee. This song was from last year. I had heard it many times and I really like it but never really know the name of the song until a few days ago. The direct English translation of the title is “One” (the duet version “一加一” is “One plus one”). Note that the lyrics of both version are exactly the same.

The lyrics of the song are about searching for love. It said, a sand leak into the romantic Ganges river, a flower wanted to form fruit; everyone wanted to be pair up with a partner. A star wanted to rush to the big universe, a trace of smoke looking forward to the love spark; but sadly there aren’t many good ending. The one that you hope for the most, the one that you like the most. Search and search, why couldn’t you found the one, why there are unlimited amount of odd numbers? The one that you got feeling to are always the hardest to be hug with. The feeling toward someone before you can see the answer. Unfortunately, always half a step away from your partner. Truthfully wish that God would know, hoping that he will help to create the loving even number. Those that you meet, you thought you have found it, but then it turn into smoke again. Fate, like it got lost. A light, like it worry to shine on lonely people, the house misses someone, a person passes by hoping that he will meet someone careering for him. The song for today is “相對論” by Hins Cheng. As the melody was written by George Lam, there is a version that features George Lam (which I will also link to). The direct English translation of the title is “Relativity”.

The lyrics of the song are the protagonist understanding of love. It said, The mortal world is large, and it is nice to walk together, who wouldn’t wish for that. Previously he care the things right in front of him, and he never really care about the things that he left behind. But now he understand that things got a few faces, and it shows differences when it changes. Love is a limitless bubble, so just let it cover you. But it melts into your life and repeat every day. Keep living in a life that you look forward to everything, and relatively you feel happier. This moment he felt the inner peace and comfort, but he cried, cried, cried. He still wishes for a lot of things, but not getting them doesn’t need a reason. Someone once warmed his heart, but he have to bear with it now when it got cold. The song for today is “最愛演唱會” by Kelly Chan. The direct English translation of the title is “Like concert the most”.

The lyrics of the song are about love, through concert, the protagonist think her past with her love one. She said, she didn’t remember how old they were back then. They were a pair, never argued nor cried. They paired up to cheer for someone. Lining up to love someone, resisting hunger to get tickets, then go to buy some coke. Big world, just like the stage, we changed our form of entertainment so we lost contact. We were both busy and fallen in love with other things. Who voted for the wrong thing, said that they shouldn’t be parted. Tomorrow the concert will start, let’s hope that both of them had learned how to hold onto someone until it ends and go to a café to cheer. So many concerts, had seated on both of his sides like they are a perfect match. They were once so passionate, but now don’t be let down. She should have learned by now how to enjoy the show and leave when it ends. She wanted to thanks him and not regret. He grabs her soda can and he holds her sweating hand. She long to see the boring band, because she is his super fan. She didn’t remember how old they were that year, but being his match, she felt so tired just like she was in a meeting. This song was one of the theme songs of a very popular TV drama “人在江湖” (“Blowing in the Wind”). The direct English translation of the title is “Cry during the journey”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. AS this song is a duet, I will represent Michael’s line by “M:”, Annabelle’s line by “A:”, when they sing together, “T:”. A: Understand that the road is very dangerous, making you feel uncertain. M: Looking in the distance, slowly, who could make an easy decision? A: The road in front got a slim chance, please think twice. Wonder whether you ever regret. M: Need to fall back, but worry that it is too late, cried during the journey. A: tears already dropped. The song for today is “眼紅館” by Kenny Kwan. I personally don’t like Kenny as to date, I still think that he can’t sing :p But what can you do with a generation of singer that sell their looks more than their singing technique. This song is actually one of his more popular song and personally quite like the song (much prefer someone else sing it thought). The title of the song actually plays with words. You can break the title up to two parts “眼紅” and “紅館”. “眼紅” means red eyes, indicating crying eyes, while “紅館” is the short way of calling 香港體育館 (Hong Kong Coliseum, people usually call it 紅磡體育館, hence紅館). Hong Kong Coliseum is a place famous for concert in Hong Kong, it is the location that first tier singer (at least used to be) used for concert, so many singers used that as their aim and an indication of their popularity.

The lyrics of the song are about the protagonist go to a concert and remembered that last time, his ex-girlfriend was there with him and he feels lonely. It said, those that he loved, come and sing together, applaud with ten thousand people. The glow sticks are glowing, but the memories are shinier. He thought about that night, the two in the stadium singing the encore section loudly. Those that happened, now will never happen again but he still dream about it. Yelling loudly, perhaps go onto the stage again. Couldn’t believe this section, perhaps it become a concert without the encore section. Ho he ho, who was the person that said to him that the stadium was cold. Ho he ho, who was the person that accompanied me to hand the flower to the performer? He realised that his eyes are red, and she is not in the old seat. It felt like that in a concert that hasn’t reaches its climax but the light is all turned on. He believed that she got red eyes as well. If she felt lonely as well, perhaps they both could yell in the Coliseum. No matter how noisy it gets, when he got dump he will cry. Those that had cried come and sing together as it will help healing. Glow sticks are getting dim, and soon it will be through away, similar to the relationship. Still haven’t seen the concert from last year. Ho he ho, who was the person that said to him that the stadium was cold. Ho he ho, who was the person that accompanied me to hand the flower to the performer? He realised that his eyes are red, and she is not in the old seat. It felt like that in a concert that hasn’t reaches its climax but the light is all turned on. He believed that she got red eyes as well. If she felt lonely as well, then let’s search in the Coliseum together. Let’s take advantage of this darkness, when he thinks of it he will cry. Hope you will like the song.

The song for today is “愛後餘生” by Nicholas Tse. I have completely forgotten about this song, but happened to heard it today randomly. This song was a big hit many years ago and it was a movie theme song. The direct English translation of the title is “Life after love”.

The lyrics of the song are about the aftermath of breaking up, how the protagonist view and deal with the incident. He said, he shared her beauty once. Departed from her made him stronger. Making his dried skin shine, but hope that his heart wasn’t scratched. Even if from the beginning, he could forget to love others all because of her. Letting the hand go, and he could hug many other people. Even if the wide world is without love, but she is still there. Burn a whole forest, and used the heat to accompany it. The song for today is “3-7-20-1” by Gary Chaw (曹格). Gary is a Malaysian singer that make his name in Taiwan. This is a song released in 2007. The title actually got a meaning, it pronounced as “three seven twenty one”, which is a multiplication. But in Chinese we also say “不管3-7-20-1” (which is also part of the lyrics of the song), directly meaning “Don’t care three seven twenty one”, what it actually means is don’t care no matter what.

The lyrics of the song are about music. The protagonist said: “ my night life in Taipei is that type. Didn’t have time to make Oolong tea, but specifically make music. Melody are all surrounding, and I felt touched. Don’t close my ears, just leave me alone. One after another, different modified cars just passes by. Beautiful cars and beauty ladies, bump bump bump. The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that she is waiting for a bunch of flower that never arrived. Waiting for a pile of beautiful lies. Waiting for him to visit her home, waiting for friends to say that he is not bad. Waiting until he is willing to travel with her and still hopping that he will not lie and loves her truthfully. The song for today is “默契” by Sammi Cheng. This is a song from 1996. The title is a bit hard to translate as I don’t think there is a direct compatible word in English that describe it. The phase of the title means an understanding between a group of people where without any sign (or very minimal sign) they understand each other and coordinate very well. So the best translation of the title that I could think of is “Silence understanding”.

The lyrics of the song are about love. The protagonist said that it is because they had been separated, and that she thought of their past, she is very clear on how love gone wrong. She knows clearly that he loves her, but sadly she was so stupid back then. She always did wrong and tried too hard to be herself, so she never treasured the people around her. But she no longer wanted to miss out, because she can see it all clearly through time. From the beginning to the end, there is only him that couldn’t be replaced as his love was very tender. Quietly looking at each other and they still feel comfortable. How to predict the future, but the silence understand between themselves could last forever. It is him who makes her life perfect.
