The
song that I choose for today is “臨別擁抱” by Timmy Tin. I guess most
people wouldn’t have heard of this song as Timmy is an internet singer. This
song was released in 2005, I first heard it in 2008 when my friend sent it to
me. I didn’t know what it was, but since my friend sent it, so I listen to it.
Woo, I was surprise, I really like it. I looped the songs so many time that
night. While I thought that Timmy probably disappeared over the years as I
haven’t been able to find more of his work, but luckily I found his website today
(http://www.timmytin.com/). Apparently
he had been keep making songs, although not too frequent, but at least he is
still making songs. Definitely worth checking his site out. So far he got 10
songs, and they are all free to download from his site. The official translation
of the title is “Goodbye hug”.
The
lyrics of the song are love. The protagonist questions whether it is funny of
him to fall in love with her, even himself couldn’t believe it. Really he just wanted
love, so he pushes things too quickly. She loves her world too much, burred
herself in it making it impossible for them to move forward. He still loves
her, but she will never believe it. There are a million questions in their
heart, but they never discuss them. How could they keep going when there doesn’t
seems to be anyway for them to move forward. He still treats her well, and does
everything for her. All he wanted is to have something in return, but she just pretends
that she hasn’t seen it. Trapping her, would it be better than breaking up? Or
perhaps he needs to put a full stop on it. Why has she decided to treat him
well at the moment when he decided to breakup? Leaving her, would it be worse
than being together? Or does he need to change his attitude? To love her, he
need to learn this style. Giving her up is shameful? Even himself couldn’t
believe it. If she have learn how to treasure everything, then it wouldn’t lead
to a point where she is no longer the focus. Every second he think of her,
really how could he control himself. All there is left is this bit of pain in
his heart, really he got hurt more than she does. Falling in love with her made
him this angry, does she knows how hard he tried to keep his voice down?
Letting her go, he knows that he is not happy of letting her go, but falling in
love again would it be worse? Loving her, well, he knows that he doesn’t love
her as much as the beginning. But even if he is angry, he still hasn’t completely
gave her up. But sadly at the end, he couldn’t take it anymore. Leaving her
perhaps is better than being together. So let’s hug one last time before
departure. She better hide her tears and not let him see them. Trapping her,
would it be better than breaking up? Or perhaps he needs to put a full stop on
