28th Jan 2015 (後樂園 – Kelly Chan)

The song for today is “後樂園” by Kelly Chan. This song was a side cut from her album “Reflection”, released in 2013, so not too many people heard of it. The title is a place in Tokyo, call “Korakuen”, in Chinese, it means “Back paradise”.

The lyrics of the song are about the protagonist thinking of her childhood and her past. It said, she is revising the old place in memory of this old park. That day the Pegasus circulates in the sky, and now it make a return. The elephant that was pointing it head down raised up to the sky that night. The time she screamed in the ghost house had now turned to photographs. Bumper car, bump; childhood’s dream, pain. Woke up in shock, and then understand that she passes time in a burry manner. That day she finished the big exam, she followed her parents to run around. She relied on others; the sleep that she had when she laid on her parents shoulder. She cried when the ring candy melted and the doll scratching on her hand. That protection, could protect her from anything, even from her misfortune today. That summer her front teeth got replaced. Standing in front of a distorted mirror and speaking nonsense, then it is today. Roller coaster, moves; weird dreams, coax. Woke up in shock, and then understand that she passes time in a burry manner. There is a time when it will end. Like ice cream, it melt in our hand. Looking at it every seconds, and times run out. That day she finished the big exam, she followed her parents to run around. She relied on others; the sleep that she had when she laid on her parents shoulder.
