The lyrics
of the song are about love relationship. It uses traffic light to describe
love. It said that when the protagonist was young, her teacher spent lot of
time teaching her how to cross the road, the teacher told her that she need to
look at both sides and then carefully cross the road. She applied this theory
to love, but not being successful. She found that the traffic light could
change colour all of a sudden. It was green before (green light in the lyrics
referring to the stable relationship) but suddenly turn red (red light here
referring to the relationship is in danger). When it is red light, should she
still cross the road? If she crosses the road (referring to falling in love or
saving the relationship), she could seriously injure herself. But the opposite of the road (referring to her
target/lover) is very attractive, is it hard to resist to cross the road. The
whole song describe her feeling on whether to go for it or not. Hope you will
