The
song for today is “傲骨” by Alan Tam. This song was
requested by a reader. The title is a bit hard to translate, the closest
translation to English is “Proud”.
The
lyrics of the song are about not giving up. The protagonist said who would know
how bitter and dull he feels in his heart as nothing plays out the way he
wanted. Who would know how bitter and dull he feels in his heart because he
feels tired. But at the bottom line, this fight hasn’t finish, and they are
trying to force him to change. Who would know how strong his wills is in his
heart. From now on, there will be many challenges, and they might make him lost
on his way. From now on, there will be many challenges, and might break his
sharp knife many times. But at the bottom line, he knew very clearly that he
don’t want to change his mind just that it might seems to be easier the other
way. Sometime he wanted to give in, thought this thought sadden him and he
knows that he wouldn’t give in. Repeat this roar, and believe that one day his
believe would be able to suppress the pressure on him. He wouldn’t kneel down
before plight, dislike and dislike.
I
guess this is a good song to dedicated to the protesters in Hong Kong to show
support for their action. Although I am not there to actually do anything to
support, but like the idea in the song, I do believe that one day the goal will
be achieved. Hope you will enjoy the song.
