The
song for today is “哲學家” by Candy Lo. This is Candy’s
newest song. I quite like Candy’s song, but she had disappeared for a number of
years, it is a surprise to me when I heard her new song recently. The direct English
translation of the title is “Philosopher”.
The lyrics
of the song are about the protagonist thinking why people doesn’t like her
partner. She said: “ Others are having a party but they don’t want to invite
you. But really, you also don’t want to listen to their low grade jokes. You
would rather be by yourself and spent your time with musician and writer. You
were born with something and bourn to be weird. Others are laughing behind your
back, saying that you are a dreamer. Completely skipping over your pair of eyes
that could see through all the traps? With good intention, but that theory and
understanding got misinterpreted by others. You just never blamed anyone; human
are just horrible. Accompanying you on the street, people probably don’t know
how to appreciate you knowing things a century ahead. Perhaps your overly
perfect could make people back off. There are still things that I don’t
understand, but lucky enough I know how to love you. So let me protect you, the
one you walk way ahead of time in this world. Couldn’t blame that in the
negative world, the most open thought still couldn’t match you. I am worry that
the future is not as beautiful as what you have predicted. But once you smile
you keep silence, you gone into deep thought and never give up. You still work
hard to give this ridiculous city another chance. Perhaps people will need to
wait until their next life to understand how good you are. Staying in the modern
time, audience will only make fun of you. If the road ahead is too far and when
you feel painful, let me hug you. You shouldn’t just give love and never
