The
song for today is “孤獨行” by Jenny Tseng (甄妮). As
I mentioned yesterday, there are a number of Cantonese cover version of Mayumi
Itsuwa’s (五輪真弓) “恋人よ”, today I am going to about the
third version. The direct English translation of the title is “Lonely walk”.
The
lyrics of the song are about life. The protagonist said that she watches the
sky quietly, and noticed that it keeps changing. Winds and rains are building
up in her heart. She is scare of a long road that is covered by cloud and
snows. The road forward is too far to make a first step, and it will still be
like this tomorrow. She had always known, everyone got their own direction.
Thinking through the small details for many years and you would realise that
none will work perfectly. The road is long, it will take a long time and there
would be many obstacles ahead. She is tired now and it is hard to move away
from the current situation, so sun, please keep shining. Looking around, she
noticed that she is surrounded by empty spaces. The sky is hard, who is willing
to help her out to drive away bad luck? Facing the lonely road, she is worry to
be traveling by herself to found the light. The bright red sun is so far way to
call upon, when will she give out light? The sadness cloud is not going away
and it cover up her direction. Knowing so many people but who is willing to
help. The road is long and it will takes a long time. The road ahead is full of
footprint. Following the lonely journey,
and repetitively travel over the world over again and again. Hope you will
