The
song for today is “逝去的愛” by Anita Mui. This song is a
cover version, the original was “うわさのディスコ・クイーン” by FeiFei Ou-Yang(歐陽菲菲,
a Taiwanese singer sung in Japan). Due to the popularity of the song, Fei Fei
later sung the mandarin version “Love is over”. As the song was so popular, it
was also turned in Cantonese. There were two versions, one called “再度孤獨”
by Jenny Tseng (甄妮) the other is “逝去的愛” by Anita Mui. Today I will only
focus on Anita’s version, I might talk about the other version in the coming
days. The direct English translation of anita’s version is “Love is over”.
The
lyrics of the song are about love. It said: “Love is over, just like that
beautiful dream that passes away. The love from the beginning rushed away, stop
thinking of your old love one. Love is over, cry for the things in the past.
How much sadness, things past by and you couldn’t chase them back. Love is
over, let the tears from that day drip toward the river to deliver it to the
sea of love for me. Still remember the promise that you made? Remember backed
then I took out my true heart, but now it is all gone. We separated that day
and never meet again. Love and relation all go to waste. Love is over, wishes
that you could stop talking about the past. The disappeared love couldn’t not
be dreamed again, just let this story ends. Love is over, woo, hide in the
deepest part of our heart. Love is over, woo, woo.” Hope you will like the
song.
