28th Jun 2015 (無顏色的夢 – Karen Tong/The Color Of The Night – Lauren Christy)

The song for today is “無顏色的夢” by Karen Tong. This song is the Cantonese cover version of “The Color Of The Night” by Lauren Christy. The direct English translation of the title is “Colourless dream”.

The lyrics of the song are about pain and disappointment. The protagonist said: “Not you, but I know you well. The dream in your heart just flew away. The disappointed you, left for some reason. Hiding tonight and you worry about yourself. If you want to be sad, then just be sad. The most painful and hurtful one is not you. Cut the crying noise, it is not possible for this world to be perfect. Weird twist of fate, but still wanted to be together. Heart is miles away, you saw a colourless sky, I see you every day. Gained then lost again, nothing could prepare. Love, carry for the whole life. You cared so much. Closed your eyes and said that she is beautiful today, just like in the past. If you want to be sad, then just be sad. The most painful and hurtful one is not you. Cut the crying noise, it is not possible for this world to be perfect. Weird twist of fate, but we were together because we had fate. Heart is miles away, everything that you saw, sky with no colour, just like midnight, like dawn. Woo, woo, thinking about the past, woo, woo. Cut your sadness, perhaps this would will be better. Weird twist of fate, but by not avoiding it will bring you surprise. Heart is miles away, you haven’t been well each day. If this world still doesn’t belong to you like in the past, the colourless sky will accompanying you. Keep being sad, as tomorrow you will still be a living dead.” Hope you will like the song. I have also linked to the original for comparison.
